Odour Control & Water Treatment Systems
Amelin ChemEng^R ODOR CONTROL programs are designed and used for controlling odors from pumping stations, force mains, sanitary sewers and wastewater treatment plants.

Odour complaints and safety hazards caused by the release of hydrogen sulfide from these locations can be effectively neutralized using specific formulations.

Our organic products prevent, or combine with, sulfides to eliminate odours and off-gassing. These specialized products minimize sludge accumulations because the compounds remain in solution.

ChemEng^R Organic Bio-modifiers prevent the formation of sulfides in anaerobic systems. Bacteria consume the nitrate components preferentially over sulfates, and this prevents the sulfates from being reduced to sulfides.

Odor Control & Air Treatment Systems
Air treatment systems utilizing specialized stacked or packed columns are manufactured specifically for odor control. ChemEng^R Air treatment systems are designed to capture and treat the odors after they are produced.

ChemEng^R Systems that utilize our Modular Biofilters rely on naturally occurring microbes to biologically break down odours in discharge air streams. Air is drawn through a media bed, which provides a surface on which the microbes can flourish and the air is then discharged through a stack after treatment. The Biofilters are modular in design, fully assembled in the factory and delivered to your site ready for connection to ductwork and utilities.

Our Stacked Bed Scrubbers are used to absorb and oxidize hydrogen sulfide and other organic compounds through more conventional means. Certain air treatment processes can make use of our ChemEng^R Packed Columns containing treated media that can adsorb sulfur based compounds without the requirement for specific oxidizers.
